Introduction:

Biosafety laboratories of every level can be found all over the world. They provide a safe, protective environment for researchers to determine how microbes work and how to defeat them with medicines and vaccines. The design features in a laboratory are just one element of biosafety; training, procedures, and other measures such as gloves, masks, eye protection, and immunizations all contribute to safe operations. Taken together, biosafety measures help researchers study infectious agents while protecting themselves, their coworkers, and their communities.
